Private Practice

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. Could there be too much of a good thing? Could a Grey’s Anatomy spin-off really be successful?
Well, I hope so! I missed the premiere, but caught last night’s second episode of Private Practice (8PM, CST, ABC), and I am HOOKED! I am invested in the characters (which are well-written and believeable in that “ok, fine that’s LA, not MN” kind of way), and their stories.
My one complaint (only so far) is that Dr. Addison Montgomery hasn’t been quite as good as she was on Grey’s. On Grey’s, she was strong-willed, stubborn, sassy, and fiery. Who knows… maybe LA’s mellowed her out a little, but I’d like to see a little more of the old Addison on Private Practice.
Either way, kudos Shonda Rimes. Nice work.
